A Registered Dietitian Can Help With Autoimmune Disease
Ready to talk about your Autoimmune Protocol?
The Personalized Autoimmune Protocol
Often, people with an autoimmune disease are given the false impression that they’re on a life-long decline that can’t be slowed. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Many factors can be improved with an individualized autoimmune protocol diet plan.
I address autoimmune diseases in a variety of ways:
- First, by identifying and eliminating food triggers.
- Next, you will be transitioned to a personalized anti-inflammatory diet.
- Then, we will focus on optimizing your gut health.
- And optimizing your nutritional status, especially the nutrients that help regulate immune function.
- Finally, specific meal plans and recipes, to keep stress low.
Many people with autoimmune diseases have gut health problems such as intestinal permeability or ‘leaky gut’. This allows food proteins to ‘come through’ the gut lining and come into contact with the immune system.
In response, the immune system then develops antibodies to these food proteins. This is known as molecular mimicry, which results in an autoimmune attack on your own body. The reason the protocols works is the following critical underlying factors are addressed:
- Problems with gut health and the microbiome
- Nutritional imbalances
- Dietary triggers
- And of course, inflammatory foods.
We will prioritize the most impactful things affecting your well-being so that you can quickly improve without being overwhelm. We will always move at a pace that is realistic for you.
Debilitating symptoms are not your destiny!
